The Bakers' Patio series started one Sunday evening while I was barbecuing. My 3 year old grandson started stomping on all the ant hills on my patio. He would lean over and peer into the holes. I knew what the ants would do. They would just rebuild them. I also began to wonder how the ants felt about the destruction. In their minds, they didn’t really didn’t know what was going on. So, I wrote a book from their point of view.
That book led to other books about the colony and the lives of the characters I created. The books are not printed in the order in which they were written. Despite being a Series, they were written with the intent to be able to be read independently of each other. I hope you enjoy the Series as much as we did creating them.
