Hey guys.
Daily… and I am talking daily. I get a number of emails telling me …
I really enjoyed the way the narrative unfolded and how naturally everything seemed to come together.
Based on what I’ve seen, your title could be a strong fit for this kind of exposure.
Would you be open to a brief [call] or [chat] to discuss these?
The approach I’m proposing is designed to build momentum on both sides simultaneously increasing visibility among active readers while also strategically placing the titles on platforms where entertainment professionals regularly discover emerging stories.
Pretty flattering right? I dig in and these are all scammers. They are using @gmail.com accounts.
What makes it tough to sort through:
They are very flattering and know stuff about my work.
They are representing legitimate businesses.
Or they have created a false front business using stock photos, etc
A couple of red flags… when they only reference me by my last name… and the @gmail.com email address when representing a legit business.
What is truly maddening about this is the false hope the emails give you. They are masterly written.
Imagine creating something and someone tells you they love what you are doing and want to work with you to spread your worth, or promote your work to production companies? Then you dig in and discover it’s BS.
There is a lot of good work out there that is not being found. These people are preying on the hopes and dreams of these authors.
That’s it… just venting a bit.
Hope you are well and staying safe.
